LCBA: Can you share the story behind North Lake Wealth Advisors?
North Lake Wealth Advisors was founded with the goal of creating a more personal, relationship-driven approach to financial planning. Since starting in the industry in 2009 and moving to our local office in February of 2011, we’ve focused on helping individuals, families, and business owners make smart financial decisions while building long-term trust and community relationships.
Over the years, our firm has grown primarily through referrals and deep client relationships, which has allowed us to expand our team, services, and office space while staying rooted in the values that helped us get started. This includes accessibility, transparency, and putting people first.
LCBA: You recently purchased the former Rush Drake Building after doing business in the neighborhood for many years. What do you appreciate most about being part of the Lake City community?
Lake City is a neighborhood full of hardworking families, local businesses, and people who support one another. Lake City is a unique part of Seattle. It’s welcoming, diverse, and continues to evolve while still maintaining a strong community feel.
Being able to invest in a historic local building and continue serving clients here is something we’re very proud of, and I wanted the community to know we’re here to serve for the long term.
LCBA: As a business owner in Lake City, what do you hope to contribute to the neighborhood’s future?
We hope to contribute by being a long-term, stable presence in the community and continuing to support local families and businesses as they plan. Beyond financial planning, we want our office to be a place that reflects professionalism, trust, and community involvement.
I also hope to continue supporting local events, organizations, and other small businesses whenever possible. As Lake City grows, we’d love to see it continue developing into a thriving neighborhood where local businesses succeed and people feel connected to the community around them.
At my previous firm, we were an area drop-off location for Toys for Tots and look forward to continuing that tradition later this year.
LCBA: Is there a favorite Lake City business, restaurant, or organization you’d like to shout out?
There are so many great local businesses in Lake City that have been supportive over the years.
We have held our holiday luncheon at Elliott Bay Brewery the first Saturday of December since 2013, except for a couple years during COVID.
I was also a member of the Lions Club for several years. This was a service organization I loved being part of because they did so many good things for the local community.
